University of St. Thomas: Content Management System Migration
Role: Project Manager, Training Lead
History: In 2013 I was brought on as a contractor to help with the migration efforts from one content management system (CMS) to another. Within six months I was hired on full time and leading the project and all initiatives related to the project. This project was broken out into three phases, and took over two years to fully complete.

Organized, updated, easier to access content on each site
Goals:
All website content would now be hosted on TerminalFour (CMS)
Collage (previous CMS) would be decommissioned
All content contributors and moderators (over 500 total) would be fully trained on using the new CMS
More organized website structure
Personal Involvement:

Creation of a Training Plan
Contributor and Moderator Training
Content Migration

Content Strategy

Over the duration of this project I was the point of contact for clients migrating their sites from one CMS to another. I met with clients on a regular bases to discover website goals, needs and timelines. I would delegate tasks related to each site to a team of interns, and if needed front and end back end web developers.

Once a website was complete in the new CMS, I would work with the client and their support staff to make sure they were fully trained to use the CMS for website edits and updates moving forward.
